Only with Samsung devices does this not work. I have tested using my wifes iPhone 13 and this works fine. Why does this not work on Samsung devices? I have tested using my personal Google Pixel 4 device and this scenario works fine. All of our laptops are Windows 11 will latest updates and are configured so they must always be on VPN (I'm able to temporarily disable VPN for testing purposes). I have a test laptop I am using, it is able to connect and browse internet just fine when connected to samsung s22 hotspot but cannot connect to our corporate VPN. Currently I am trying to confirm that our team will be able to use their laptops over mobile hotspot.

I'm currently in charge of making sure all of our main use cases work before purchasing phones and phone contracts. I would like to learn what and why I am doing something rather than just following a recipe. My company is working planning on giving our entire staff a set of Samsung S22 phones. Also, if there is some documentation or a video on this, please share. I would like to get this sorted out if possible and if it's not I would like to understand why. An indication that I am connected is that my internet browsing is utilizing the pihole that I have setup on my home network. I have tried both, but my laptop cannot access any of my home devices.

Connect my laptop to my phone via personal hotspot and 1: vpn with the phone or 2: vpn with the laptop. What I am having trouble with: I figured that there are 2 options. I can enable the vpn on my iphone through cellular and access my home network no problem. What I have done so far: So far I have setup a vpn through the quick set menu and it is currently working. What I am trying to do: VPN into my home network and have access to all things including the ability to rd to my desktop or ssh into my raspberry pi through my phone's personal hotspot. I am still learning about networking, but currently looking to get this vpn working for holiday travel.
